Edward Constantine Brown, a Novato resident, died Dec. 24 at Kaiser Hospital in San Rafael. He was 89.
Born in Sherwood, Calif., Mr. Brown also lived in Sebastopol, Mill Valley and Humboldt. His careers ranged from an operator of cranes and heavy equipment to a Greyhound bus driver to a Yellow Cab owner and operator in Mill Valley.
He is survived by his daughter, Darlene Swanson of Novato; two grandsons; and two great-grandsons.

Notes: Richard served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He enlisted as a private on 25 February 1941, in San Francisco. His gravestone notes that he was sergeant in the US Army during World War II.

Ney of Sisson, and described as being of medium height and medium build with brown eyes and black hair. Lee was a constructor for an elevator company in the 1920 census. At his marriage in 1922, Lee is described as a road foreman, and he is a foreman in highway construction in the 1930 and 1940 censuses. Lee died on 1 October 1981, in Eureka, Humboldt county, California.
