Notes: Elizabeth was evidently a lady of some wealth. One of her marriage announcements (The London Magazine April 1757 p203) notes that she has "a fortune of  £8000". Her marriage settlements, sign on 15 and 16 April 1757, are concerned with "the estates of Elizabeth Dobson, in Northhamptonshire" (Reports of cases argued and determined in the High Court of Chancery: from the year 1789 to 1817, Volume 6 p438).

The marriage announcements state that Elizabeth is "of St John's, Clerkenwell".
