The Carson Family

Annie Victoria Carson

Birth: 18 June 1887, in Corcreeghy, Monaghan, county Monaghan, Ireland
Annie was born on June Eighteenth 1887 at Corcreeghy Monaghan, the daughter of Samuel Carson, farmer, of Corcreeghy, and Emma Carson formerly Kilroy.

Father: Samuel Crawford Carson

Mother: Emma Martha (Kilroy) Carson

Notes: Curiously, Annie is found in the 1901 and 1911 census returns as Queenie and Victoria, respectively. I believe these are all the same person - the parents are identifiable as the same in each, there is only the one daughter in each case, of the right age, and in the 1911 census, Emma is shown as only ever having had one child, still living. Annie is the only birth recorded to a Carson in Corcreeghy in the period. So what gives? I think that Annie and Queenie can be easily mis-transcribed somewhere, if the A in Annie is the rounded capital, they look quite similar. Victoriais presumably a middle name - on her mother's death certificate in 1933 the informant is listed as Annie V. Carson of 11 Clarinda Pk. N.

Census:
1901: Corcreeghy, Kilmore, county Monaghan
1911: 11 Clarinda Park North, Kingstown, county Dublin
