  This is the last Will and Testament of me Elizabeth Christian of Durban in the county of Durban made this twenty ninth day of July in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and sixteen.
  I hereby revoke all Willis made by me at any time heretofore. I appoint Arthur Harold Christian of Russell Street, Durban, Engineer, to be my Executor, and direct that all my debts and funeral expenses shall be paid as soon as conveniently may be after my decease.
  I give and bequeath unto my daughter Louisa Ann Chapman, gold brooch set with garnets, unto my daughter Alice Lees, Nugget brooch with chain, unto my daughter-in-law Dolly Christian, gold watch + chain, unto my daughter-in-law Irene Christian, rung set with garnets, unto my daughter-in-law Lily Christian, ring set with small stones unto my grand-daughter Ada Christian, gold bracelet, unto my grandson Harold Chapman silver watch. My personal effects to be divided between my daughters Louisa Ann Chapman and Alice Lees. The remainder of my property and money, after all debts are paid, to be equally divided between my children Louisa Ann Chapman, Alice Lees, William Christian, Arthur Harold Christian & Robert Henry Christian.

Henry Green Wood is recorded as single, the son of John Wood, a mariner. Henry is a cabinet maker, resident in Gosport. Naomi Funnell is recorded as single, the daughter of Thomas Funnell, excise officer, resident in Gosport. The marriage was witnessed by Thomas Funnell and Amelia Mansbridge.

Notes: Henry Wood emigrated to Natal and was followed by his wife, Naomi and five of their children (Selina, Elizabeth, Henry, William and Sarah) who arrived in Durban on 25 February 1865 aboard the Tugela. Surety of £55 was stood by Henry Wood, cabinet maker and Martin Short, storekeeper of Pietermaritzburg (Martin Short was married to Naomi's niece, Ellen Ford).

Death:
Henry is possibly the "Henry William Wood" who died in the Carnarvon hospital, Kimberley, Cape Colony, on 17 November 1883. That Henry's death notice and probate proceedings list him as a cabinet maker, aged 70, born in England. He was married, with several children "living in Natal particulars cannot be ascertained at present".
