Children: The father of Honour Robinson's child was almost certainly her cousin James Hawkins. In the 1841 census, shortly after Charles's birth, we find James, Honour and Charles all living in the household of James's father, also James. Honour is listed as a servant. In the 1851 census, however, we see Honour listed as the elder James's unmarried niece (which she was - her mother was the sister of James the elder's wife - any relationship with James the younger notwithstanding), and Charles Robinson is listed as the grandson of James the elder. In James's will, a third of his estate was left to Honour Robinson ("my housekeeper"), and two thirds to Charles Robinson, further reinforcing that Charles Robinson was his son, although this is not stated in the will.

Married: James Reader in 1862, in Stow district, Suffolk, England. James was born in 1832/3, in Drinkstone, and was baptised on 13 October 1833, the son of Briant Reader and Charlotte. James was an agricultural labourer. He died in 1898, in Stow district.
